Ten Years Later, Alien: Isolation Gets a Sequel

On the 10th anniversary, it seems only fitting to let you know that we have heard your distress calls loud and clear.

Today, I'm delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to ALIEN: ISOLATION is in early development.

It both feels like "sheesh finally" and "this the perfect time." Alien: Romulus crushed it. Isolation was always great. My fingers are crossed for the FX show (?!) from Noah Hawley (of Fargo fame)—Alien: Earth. Maybe we are getting too much of a good thing now...but I remain hopeful.

I am thrilled that Creative Assembly is on the game. There is no other studio I'd trust to capture the atmosphere of Alien (or lack thereof atmosphere).

Semi-related side note: Thanks to the rousing success of Romulus, Isolation used copies have skyrocketed in price. I've seen it going for $40 at a local shop. Three months ago, it would have been $10-15. Digital beats physical right now. The Isolation price will come down again someday.
