I Would Really Like This Cut of The Bourne Identity Please
yep, turns out the movie still works without all the exposition by Danny Boyd for CinemaStix
I felt like YouTube was berating me with this recommendation. So many different thumbnails, I almost thought they were completely different videos. Curiosity won out and I am glad YouTube beat me over the head with this one. Sometimes the Algorithm knows you best.
In the essay above, Danny Boyd pitches us all how The Bourne Identity could be a better movie if all the CIA/Treadstone scenes were dropped from the film, thus putting the audience in the same boat (heh) as Jason throughout the film as he pieces his life together.
More important than a neat cut of a classic, Danny's channel—CinemaStix—reminds me an awful lot of Every Frame a Painting, which just finished its special return run. Watching this video (and another on Ocean's Eleven), Danny's work filled the hole in my heart that Every Frame a Painting created. Excellent work Danny.
