Making music with Nintendo Gameboy & Friends – David Hilowitz

I love people that make music with toys. It's what drew me to the Chompi. It also reminds me of how Jake Kauffman makes his chiptune music and that is limited by the NES (to a degree).

I am surprised that David didn't at least mention the likes of nanoloop 2 or the Analogue Pocket, which has this music software baked in.

Now for an expensive, but related tangent. John Gruber shared this GoldenEye 007 video below. I'd love to pick Gruber's brain about games some time. Whenever it comes up with him, it's always so rooted in the early days. So curious the shape it has had over his life. Maybe this is more just warm nostalgia for Bond and late-night split-screen
